Dear
Visitors,
I am
delighted to welcome you to Hilmarton Primary School,
and am really pleased that you are visiting our website:
thank you.
Our school
motto, “Bright Futures for Little People” epitomises
what we value most at Hilmarton. Our positive and
welcoming ethos is frequently remarked on by visitors
and our recent and very successful OFSTED report notes
especially that a parent states “we have always been
impressed by the climate within the school.” We aim to
create an atmosphere and environment which enables all
children to fulfil their potential academically and
socially. We believe that everyone can succeed, and
through offering a wide range of exciting learning
experiences we want our children to learn about their
own personal strengths so that they leave us ready to
face life’s new challenges with excitement and
confidence.
At
Hilmarton School, children’s personal development and
wellbeing are outstanding, and behaviour across the
school is excellent. These are highly valued aspects of
school life for us, in addition to ensuring that
children achieve personal academic success. As a
relatively small school, a particular strength is that
the children and adults know each other well –
relationships between pupils and staff are very strong
and we believe that this caring and trusting ethos
enables children to extend their learning even further.
We also believe strongly that the best learning takes
place when children are happy, motivated and secure, and
we want to give our children every possible opportunity
to excel at a broad and balanced curriculum.
Our team of
dedicated and highly motivated staff greatly values the
close relationship between home and school, and teachers
appreciate all opportunities to extend the understanding
and working partnership on both sides. Our very
supportive Governing Body makes active contributions to
further advance the strategic aims of the school, and we
are also fortunate to receive outstanding financial
contributions from the Hilmarton School Association.
These enable us to purchase new equipment and resources
to further benefit children’s learning, and provide a
range of very enjoyable activities for children and
their families throughout the year. Sincere thanks to
both organisations for their continual hard work for
which we are most grateful.
This
website has been designed with an aim to give you an
insight into our school. Please do not hesitate to call
in or telephone to arrange an appointment if you would
like any further information – we will be only too happy
to meet with you.
Thank you again for
visiting,
Clare Wall
